H U D A
Haryana Urban Development Authority has been
constituted as a Statutory body under the HUDA Act.1977 in order to remove the
difficulties faced & to achieve expeditious development of Kurukshetra
town.
Function of HUDA are as under:-
1. To promote & to secure development of urban areas
with the powers to acquire hold & dispose off property, both movable &
immovable.
2. To acquire develop & disburse land for
residential, Industrial & commercial purpose.
3. To carryout Engineering & other operations to
execute work in connection with the supply of water disposal of Sewerage,
control of pollution etc.
4. To make available developed land Haryana Housing Board
and other bodies for providing houses to E.W.S. of the Society.
5. To undertake building work.

It is worth mentioning here that Sector No.
2, 3, 5, 7, 13 i.e. residential sectors are fully developed and occupied. HUDA
Provided amenities like-School/Community Center, Social Institution in the
above sector. Industrial Sector No. 2 is fully developed where 93 plots were
carvedout of which 50 plots were constructed & where industrial activities
have been taken up. In addition, 14 are under construction.
In Urban Estate Shahabad (Part -I and
Part-II) Area is fully developed & Populated. HUDA has provided all
amenities for the residents.
In Mandi Town Pehowa area has been fully
developed & populated where HUDA has provided all amenities required for
habitation.
